		<description>Nicely put!&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;I think we need to encourage just enough basic skills in things our kids are &lt;i&gt;not&lt;/i&gt; good in, so that they can get by.  Beyond that, I think we (and they) are much better off developing their strengths.  It&#039;s much more likely to lead to gainful employment and personal fulfillment in the long run.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Joe</description>

<p>I think we need to encourage just enough basic skills in things our kids are <i>not</i> good in, so that they can get by.  Beyond that, I think we (and they) are much better off developing their strengths.  It&#8217;s much more likely to lead to gainful employment and personal fulfillment in the long run.</p>
